Traveling
is exciting and something many of us desire more than the actual destination.
It’s a chance to really connect with the friends or family you are traveling
with. The distractions are minimized and the best way to kill the time is by
talking to each other. It’s also a way to get out of our routine and see
something different than the normal commute to work. We have this unique
opportunity to take an adventure and enjoy life. But sometimes we are a bit
unprepared. These five things should be started at least a month before your
next trip.
Vitamin
C
We
all have heard that it’s good to take vitamin C whenever you are traveling
because our immune systems get weakened. Actually, what you should do is start
taking it every day for a month before you travel. It needs time to strengthen
your immune system so that it’s ready for your big trip.
Reservations
More
than likely you are going to a city that gets a fair amount of tourism. That
means there’s a chance that you may go during a week or weekend where something
big is going on and hotels and other accommodations are booked so don’t wait
until the last minute.
Medications
In
some cases, you need to preorder extra medication a month ahead to ensure that
you have it ready for your trip. You do not want to hold off until the last
minute.
Passwords
and Pins
This
is one that always throws people off but it’s important. Whenever you travel,
there’s a chance that your bank or credit card vendor will check with you to
make sure that your transactions in another city are legit. That’s when you
want to make sure you know all the passwords or pins to any accounts you may
have to access from the toad.
Clothing
Check
If
you are heading somewhere with a different climate than you are currently
living in you want to make sure that the clothes you are bringing with you fit
and are comfortable to wear. If you haven’t worn a snow jacket in a year, you
do not want to wait until you arrived at your destination to put it on and find
out it’s not a good fit on you.
These
tips can be handled quickly and within minutes at home but on the road, if they
are not followed, can become a real annoyance. Take some time each day to check
all the boxes even if your trip isn’t for another month.
