It depends on several things including your preference. For example, do you like to go when there are big things happening like concerts or festivals, or do you prefer as slow a weekend or week as possible?
Let’s assume you want to go on a weekend where things are not as busy, especially because you can save money on flights and hotels. The best times to travel for that would be around:
The first two weeks of January: New Years is going to be one of the worst times to try and go as people from all over the world plan their trip to Las Vegas around then because they are off from work and kids are out of school. The first couple of weekends in January are usually good because people are not traveling then, and you can get good deals.
The week after spring break: If you want to experience Vegas when it is so crowded that you cannot even walk down the street, go during spring break. However, the week or two after usually sees a big drop in visitors and costs for hotels.
The first week after school starts: This is another good week or weekend to go as people with kids are deep into the back-to-school focus. We know what you’re thinking, Vegas isn’t really a city impacted by this. However, this also includes college students as there is a drop in visitors to the city.
The weekend before Thanksgiving: People are planning on traveling to see their families and a trip to Vegas is usually not at the top of the list. That’s why you can snag a quick trip at an affordable price.
Again, this really depends on your preference as far as what you want to experience when you visit Las Vegas, Nevada. If you want to see a lot going on and enjoy big crowds, then this list isn’t for you. However, if you like to grab better deals and also see fewer people around, check out these dates to book your travel plans.
